Tier is an independent review built around a simple editorial principle: one country per issue, examined over the course of a full year.
Each issue is dedicated to a country commonly relegated to the “Third World”, approached from within rather than observed from outside.
Through portraits, essays, and hybrid editorial forms, Tier brings together a plurality of voices. Artists, thinkers, workers, families, and anonymous figures narrate everyday life beyond dominant humanitarian and geopolitical frames.
By privileging time, complexity, and sustained attention, Tier proposes an editorial space of counter gaze. A place where the world is narrated not from its centres, but from its margins. Not about the tier, but by those who live it.
